World's first portable uncompressed HDTV Silicon recorder/player
This tiny product is a big breakthrough in solid state silicon memory recording of uncompressed HDTV signals, including DUAL LINK (4:4:4). Solid state memory overcomes the limitations of tape (VTR) and disc based storage of data and provides an unprecedented durability, greater versatility and more convenient medium than it’s predecessors.
!!< The HR-7500 or ‘Video Brick’ designed and manufactured by Astrodesign for Oxygen DCT, is also small at just a little bigger than a house brick and can store up to 15 minutes of uncompressed single link or DUAL LINK HDTV video on this initial model. It supports embedded audio and has a RS422 port compliant to Sony protocol and therefore can be controlled as a VTR, for example. There are two HDTV (SDI) outputs as well as a data port for data transfer to a NLE or other computer system.
!!< Images can be instantly recorded or played back via the front panel controls or remote control option. As the HR-7500 requires only 12V DV power and is highly compact it is well suited for field use a steadycam or could be used in a helicopter, car or bike. for example. Whilst field recording is an obvious application it also makes an excellent VTR replacement for editing or storage device for telecine users as it can be controlled via the RS422 port. For budget conscious users there is a lower capacity unit at lower cost.
!!< This world leading product is a breakthrough in uncompressed HDTV recording media and indicative of future trends in media technology. It is the first VTR replacement that is universally suited to both field and fixed systems installations, giving users even greater flexibility.
